Welcome to Patriots Youth Football

Our Mission - Patriots Youth Football program is a member of the Northern Vermont Youth Football League and operates for the benefit of the youth of the rural Franklin and Lamoille County area.  Our objectives as coaches and administrators is to promote youth football, and to provide instruction related to the game of football, in an environment that is positive and safe, for children in grades two through eight and living in or near the towns of Fairfax, Georgia, Fletcher, Fairfield, Bakersfield, Enosburg, Waterville, Westford, Cambridge, Jeffersonville, Johnson, Hyde Park, Morrisville, and Stowe. We strive to teach each participant the fundamentals of football as well as sportsmanship, teamwork, self discipline, self-esteem, physical fitness, friendship, leadership, love of the game, and many other important life skills regardless of sex, race, creed, or nation of origin. We hope to provide the opportunity to play football for fun, in a positive and safe environment with the safety of each player our NUMBER ONE priority.  We are a non-profit, volunteer-based organization dedicated to the youth of our community.

Baseline Testing Offered
Posted Jun 23, 2015

Patriots Youth Football has always told parents their children's safety is our #1 priority. We were one of the first teams in the NVYFL requiring all coaches to be USA Football certified. Now ALL teams require it. We were one of the first teams to require all coaches be trained to use Heads Up Football techniques. Now ALL teams require it. Once again, Patriots Youth Football is leading the charge for player safety. In 2015, Patriots Youth Football is partnering with Fairfax Family Physical Therapy to offer FREE baseline screening of all our football players. Baseline testing is a pre-season exam used to assess an athlete’s balance and brain function (including learning and memory skills, ability to pay attention or concentrate, and how quickly he or she thinks and solve problems), as well as for the presence of any concussion symptoms. Results from baseline tests (or pre-injury tests) can be used and compared to a similar exam conducted by a health care professional during the season if an athlete has a suspected concussion. While this screening is not mandatory, we hope ALL parents will take advantage of this opportunity to monitor the well-being of your young athlete. Watch for announcements of pre-season screening dates.
